Words, Words, Words from Douglas Adams

"There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." Douglas Adams

Bizarre and inexplicable. Why am I completely relating to that phrase tonight?

  1. My totally uneducated guess would be that it has something to do with the fact that you are about 8 days into a brand new school year, have two very energetic young men, and one very energetic grown up man, AND a new puppy! Add to that, it's the 3rd day of a new month, a weather change, a three day weekend on the way, and you probably had to go to Wal-Mart (please note the 3rd day of the month reference). Did I get at least one right??? lol!!! Have a great weekend, Susan! BTW, we love Douglas Adams at our house!

  2. Because both that quote and that singular phrase are so applicable to the world around us and feel so true at heart.

  3. I love Douglas Adams! In high school forensics we did a scene from "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe". I adapted it for our purposes and played the cow. Mooooooooo.
