September 11

We remember.

We remember bravery.

We remember sacrifice.

We remember.

  1. I remember, nursing my baby and watching TV. Breaking news coverage interrupted, showing a plane had crashed into the tower. Then live coverage as another one flew into the second tower. It was early in the morning, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. And all hell broke loose, and planes were down everywhere, then the towers fell.

I remember sitting and nursing my 4 month old baby, with tears streaming down my face, and trying to hide them from my 2 yr old. I had the baby blues, and the world had gone crazy, and I wondered what kind of world I had brought these children into.
I wanted to turn off the TV but I couldn't, I kept waiting to see what horrible thing would happen next. I was confused and afraid and so very sad. I thought World War 3 had started.

    I'll never forget this day.

  3. I was in school trying to figure out how to help kids cope with this. It is seared into my memory forever.
