Classic. I love to hear about your boys, they make me laugh and remind me of my own.
The other day when doing a new math concept with Ben he said to me,"whenever you teach me something new in math, something I learnt in kindergarten falls out the other side." I guess there is only so much their heads can hold, so maybe it is good when some days hold nothing interesting!
Awesome! Man, sometimes the kids make me feel like I'm on the way to the loony bin, and other days they're keeping me out of it. This kind of laugh keeps me out :)
I'm late to this one, but I believe that if he didn't find anything interesting, then his teacher didn't do his/her job and this can be taken as constructive criticism. My son is also 12 and educating boys is a new and terrifying experience for me (I have 3 sisters, no brothers). At this age, nothing in school appears to interest them and that can create problems. Serious ones! (And mine just joined Air Cadets and would appreciate your son's first response as well!)
Classic.

I laughed so hard that it brought on a fit of coughing. This was too good not to share.
ReplyDeleteLove the realness of kids :) Darling answers - TFS. My son said he had nothing he wanted to share in journal entry just last week.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Out of the mouths of babes...
ReplyDeleteLove it! You guys are training him well! I can just hear George chuckling smugly in the background!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the morning chuckle. Precious.
ReplyDeleteMaybe all the kiddos should be more honest! Too funny.
ReplyDeleteAh, classic.
ReplyDeleteNick is my kinda kid! Love it!
ReplyDeleteReminds me why I love teaching!
ReplyDeleteI love that he added the "truly". It really shows that he gave the question some thought. Thanks for the laugh.
