Gratitude Journal #116

Today, I am grateful that Jack didn't break a bone or hit his head when he fell down the frosty deck stairs yesterday. Oh how grateful we are that he just has a bruised bottom and not broken bones or a concussion!

Today, I am grateful for the fridge we bought yesterday. We got a Samsung stainless steel, French door model with water and ice in the door (on sale at Best Buy!). We also narrowed our search for some new furniture.

Today, I am grateful for a good night's sleep.

Today, I am grateful George's nephew graduated from diesel engine school. Way to go, Matt!

Today, I am grateful for a few hours spent with a good friend on Friday.

Today, I am grateful for the third week in Advent, with its emphasis on joy. I definitely feel joyful!

What are you grateful for today?

  3. Today I am grateful for two whole days off over the weekend. I was supposed to work on Saturday but my sweet husband recognised that I was close to a breaking point with holiday stress. He urged me to stay home and do what needed to be done. YAY!

I had such a great weekend. All my laundry is done, the decorating is done, my cards are in the mail, my office desk is clear, my house is clean.

I am grateful for time well spent at home.

I attended a "Skate for the Cure" fundraiser on Sunday for a 5 year old with cancer. I am so grateful for my healthy kids.

I am also grateful for a skating community that recognised a need and jumped in.

  4. For safety in traveling to Washington State yesterday

For safety when we got lost in the fog and 12:30 this morning trying to find my daughter's home (haven't been here for 5 years because she was living in Florda for a while).

Blessing of having two loving daughters and one son.

Being able to hug my daughter in real life this morning - haven't seen her for 16 months.

Sharing a cup of bold coffee with my daughter.

My husband who lets me drag him all around the country at all hours of the day.

Being able to be with my family for Christmas.
