Words, Words, Words from Thomas More

"The ordinary acts we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might suggest." Thomas More

As you do an ordinary task this weekend, think about how important it is. What would happen if it went undone? How does that awareness change how you feel about doing it?

  1. Hmmm...doing the laundry right now, which seemed very important until a minute ago. If it went undone my family woud keep wearing the clothes on their floor, or they would have to learn how to do it themselves. This awareness totally changes my perspective, and this is the last load of laundry I am going to do! I love your smarty pants quotes that enable me to justify not doing menial Mom chores. Thanks Susan! Wait, who's going to do MY laundry? I was free there for a minute.... :)
