Last night, we watched a show busting myths about Thanksgiving. The narrator said that Thanksgiving is a holiday that brings together two key American characteristics: excess and sentiment. So true!

Jeepers, I love pumpkin. A few years ago I made a pumpkin roll dessert (you know, with the cream cheese) and before that I made a pumpkin cheesecake (all swirly and pretty), both for Thanksgiving. My family barely touched either of them, but I love them anyway.
