Gratitude Journal #186

Today, I am grateful for your feedback on replacements for Google Reader. I'm going to check out Bloglovin before doing anything.

Today, I am grateful for my new computer. As expected, all the weirdness of Windows 8 is fading with experience, and now I'm mostly adjusted to the difference. What I really love is the speed of this computer and its lovely screen. Thank you again, George, for picking it out for me!

Today, I am grateful for rain, for birds at the feeder, and grass growing.

Today, I am grateful for my mom and mother-in-law in this week leading to Mother's Day, and for my sister, nephew, husband, and crazy golden retriever...all of whom have birthdays this month!

Today, I am grateful for moments of quiet.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. Just a quick heads up Susan .... if you like to read the whole post as you scroll down in the reader, then don't even start with Bloglovin'. I liked the look of it - so easy. Spent 2 hours setting everything up as I wanted only to discover that there is not setting for reading the whole post. You have to click on the post (open in new tab or window). I don't have time for that!
    So now I'm on Feedly.

  2. As you know I'm also on Feedly, same as Janet, and hardly notice a difference from Google Reader. As for W8, you EXACTLY described my experience with it. Faster and nice big screen (which has nothing to do with W8, lol!) I think I've pretty much adjusted myself, so that I'm mostly on the desktop, which looks just like the old way!

  3. Grateful for the fabulous doctor and nurses in Emerg, Ambulance attendants, and nurses and Internist in ICU who took such wonderful card of my mom this past week.

Also thankful that she gets her pace maker so we don't have to deal with the drastic high and low pulse rates and BP she experienced this past week.

Ever so thankful for the church family who have prayed and visited and been there for her. Community/the body functioning as it should :)
