Words, Words, Words about Grass

Our builder came to check some cabinet drawers that were rubbing, and when he opened one of the drawers, he found a baggie of Penzey's Turkish Oregano. It looks, apparently, like weed of another kind.
But today's words are about another kind of grass altogether, a metaphoric grass, courtesy of Pinterest.

How can you water your own grass to green it up? Something to think about.

  2. Greener grass is accomplished by watering it!

My husband and I have been together for close to five years. His previous marriage was pretty cold. He was not used to much physical contact; which is something I need. He is now the most affectionate, loving guy. We hold hands, hug, touch, kiss, brush past each other physically and snuggle on the couch whenever we can. That is not something he was used to; but it became a big part of us because we both "watered the grass".

Another example of that is my relationship with my sister. I very stupidly let that fall by the wayside because my ex-husband did not like her. During my divorce, she reached out to me and started calling me and helped me move etc. We now talk 2-3 times a week and get together often. If she had not watered that grass; we'd probably still be in the past.

So why is the grass greener? Because somebody made the effort.

  3. Reminds me of the saying: If everyone would worry about keeping their own front porch clean, what a beautiful neighborhood we would have.

    Great blog!
