Gratitude Journal #38

Today, I am grateful for pansies. Pansies and daisies are my favorite flowers (what does this say about me, I wonder), and not only am I seeing pansies all over the place, Jon Katz has been photographing them and posting a Daily Pansy post on his Bedlam Farm Blog. This morning's pansies are stunning.

Today, I am grateful for Saturday's long walk with Hoover. While he did great on the walk and was so happy to be out, it took him an entire day to recover from it, so it's likely to have been his last long walk. He's still hanging in there and seems none the worse for the wear. The tumor is growing, though.

Today, I am grateful for this spring-inspired coffee cup, from which I am drinking my mocha.

Today, I am grateful that Matt (George's 18-year-old nephew) is okay after being in a car wreck last week. He went to his prom this weekend and looked great.

Today, I am still grateful for a lovely church service yesterday and tomorrow's resumption of our Bible study class, which took a two-week break. I feel so refreshed and ready to study.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. That mug is *pretty*. An added bonus is that your husband is unlikely to borrow it! I like mugs with a wider top than bottom (an un-taper?), makes it easier to load up on milk after I put in too much coffee and then too much sugar.

  2. Today I am grateful for havinf the honor of knowing a firefighter that lost his life in the line of duty yesterday. He was a 26 year old "kid" that believed in life and did his best to make the world safer. I am honored to have helped him grow up to the wonderful young man he became.

  3. I am thankful that my house did not burn down yesterday when I accidently left the woodstove door open for three hours while I was gone. Lots of smoke and the house stinks (although it's getting better) but I HAVE A HOUSE STILL STANDING HALLELUJAH!

  5. I am thankful for a wonderful husband who does not mind I spend a lot of my free time in my 'cave' as he calls it. Stamping, card making, blog surfing, internet shopping. Tease me, he does, but does not make me feel guilty.Think I will keep him around for another 44 years. ;-)
