Of course.

What do you imagine paradise to be?

  1. Endless ocean waves softly rolling up on warm white sand.

  2. I have a quote from Cicero on my fridge, "If you have a library and a garden you have everything you need."

  3. After my first Springsteen concert I started imagining that was what heaven felt like. My idea of paradise would also include a library, dogs, and a hammock on top of a mountain overlooking the ocean. Throw in a few babies, my craft room, and some Ben and Jerry's and I'm good to stay forever!

  4. My stamping space within a library! ...with a Keurig machine, of course.

  5. Interesting question! I would not expect to see or need doctors, therapists, lawyers, policemen, soldiers, hospitals, jails or courts. No sad or pained faces, only smiling ones. I would expect "enough" of everything to go around, so there is no jealousy or greed, only eternal peace. These ideas are all very earthly, heaven on earth. Who knows what form we will take or what our needs will be, but I'm sure they will be met.

  6. Just re-read your quote. Isn't it interesting that I automatically equated paradise with heaven? Perhaps Borges meant paradise on earth. Somewhat different question!

  7. Kay, I think we can read the quotation either way and found nothing odd about your first comment at all!
