Oh I love Pride & Prejudice! My movie preference is for the A&E version, but 6 hours is a bit much at one time...and the Hollywood version is actually a great version too and perfect for those quick fixes.
Is it ok that I'm grateful spring break is over and the girls go back to school tomorrow??
Today I am grateful for College staff CCTV The police The kindness of strangers My 22yr old, special needs, daughter did a runner from college today because she felt she wasn't getting enough attention from her tutor. She was in a town she does not know, she trusted people she didn't know, and luckily it turned out okay, this time. This is not the first time something like this has happened, nor, I suspect will it be the last. She can't have a mobile phone as she phones the police if something doesn't go her way, e.g. if someone calls her a name, or she trips over someone's bag, or her hair won't go right. There should be an electronic tagging system for people like my daughter. I know human rights would slate me for saying this but then they don't have the worry each and every day. I love Jane Austen's books, Pride and Prejudice being my favourite, I read them at least twice a year, I never read a book twice, her books are the exception to that rule, I just love them, pure escapism. Loved the green and yellow card too.

Ah, the newer P&P. I was just thinking about re-watching this.
ReplyDeleteI finished up the long/older version and plan to blog about it tonight or tomorrow.
I just love it when boys hold hands like that, so unselfconsciously (sp?). Just friends being friends.
