Gratitude Journal #182

Today, I am grateful for rest.

Today, I am grateful for birdsong and blue skies and growing things.

Today, I am grateful for a wonderful Holy Week and spring break and safe travel and visits with family and bubbles in the back yard and movies and food and fellowship and laughter.

Today, I am grateful for moving forward on household projects: reseeding the lawn, paperwork, curtains and blinds, delivering donations to Salvation Army, and getting everyone's clothes organized for the new season.

Today, I am grateful for epiphanies, figurative whacks on the head, and the kindness of friends and husbands.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. Today I'm grateful for the wet, foggy morning (and hopefully some sprinkles and rain later) that will water my poor neglected pots outside (that I don't have time to deal with today)

I'm thankful that my boys are excited that I said "yes" to a last minute NCAA Finals "party" at our house this evening for 20-30 teen age boys despite the fact that my house is not CLEAN.

I'm thankful that having this party will kick my rear into getting a couple of public rooms back up to par.

I'm thankful that I'm getting back into the creative mode.

I'm thankful for posts like yours that make me realize I need to say Thanks more often.

  2. I'm grateful that Bev, at Happy Dance, shared your site with us, because I've now discovered 'you'! Your cards are stunning; your posts engaging and brilliant! Thank you for sharing your gift of 'creativity' with us, especially when 'some' of us (pick me, pick me) need inspiration!
Have an excellent day - and thank you for reminding me of the importance of being thankful! Gratitude...it's all about gratitude!

  3. Oh, reseeding the lawn!? I would be grateful if I could do that, but it's still buried under 5 ft. of snow. I guess I'll have to settle for being grateful that there's no flooding thus far.
