Gratitude Journal #41

Today, I am grateful for soft rain and sunshine.

Today, I am grateful for this odd little video.

Today, I am grateful Hoover is still begging for ice cream, popcorn, and cookies. If we'd known he would still be with us in the second half of May, however, we would not have given him quite as much ice cream or popcorn and or as many cookies in March and April.

Today, I am grateful for time.

Today, I am grateful for you.

What are you grateful for today?

  1. I'm grateful that I read your blog this morning and grateful that I read a wonderful novel called The Season of Second Chances by Diane Meier this weekend. Grateful for my 4 year old granddaughter's first dance recital and grateful for that odd video that you linked me to. Grateful for your blogs and grateful also for Monday mornings and a new week to try and get it right.

  2. Oh, Carol, I am grateful for your list, especially the "grateful also for Monday mornings and a new week to try and get it right." Well said!

  3. Would it be cheesy to say that I am grateful for fun/interesting blogs like your own that give me glimpses into the lives of others and make me feel like a friend?

I am also grateful for the leftovers we have from a party here yesterday. Yummy potato salad, fruit salad, and a truly divine cake.

  4. I'm grateful that you are still able to enjoy your Hoover. Please give him all the attention and treats you possible can.

We just had to put our Honey down a couple of weeks ago. She also had a tumor that got as large as a soccer ball on her side. She was unable to have surgery because her heart wouldn't have lasted since she was so old. She was part golden/part mutt but was the sweetest, most gentle dog in the world.

I am grateful for our neighbor who is a vet and did us a huge favor of doing the euthenasia here at our home so Honey would be peaceful and relaxed when the time came.

    Bless you! Crystal N

  5. Oh, Crystal! Big cyber-hugs to you regarding Honey. At least we got to enjoy our furry friends for a full doggie life and they are not being taken from us prematurely. I am finding great comfort in that.
