Gratitude Journal #41

Today, I am grateful for mothers who love.

Today, I am grateful for husbands who show their love by making steak tacos with fresh, homemade guacamole. Yum.

Today, I am grateful for children who make things for their mommies. Jack's card says, "Thank you for waachiing Thomas with me." Nick made a placemat that said:

Mama mia is awesome
One of a kind
The best mom ever
Helpful
Every day you're sweet
Really awesome

Isn't that the best poetry ever written?

Today, I am grateful for another week with a happy Hoover.

Today, I am grateful for benadryl.

What are you grateful for today?

  2. I'm grateful for the knowledge that God is in control, and He will decide whether we get to Prague next week in spite of volcano eruptions and airline strikes. Knowing how badly we want to visit with our daughter and family, He will do what is best.

  3. Here was my Mother's Day card:

"Mom, we owe you so much.
Unless we include the therapist bills, then we are about even.
Happy Mother's Day!!" Signed by grown children, grandchildren and significant others, all of whom thought this was hilarious.

  4. Betsy,
It IS hilarious! And they must love you a bunch to joke around with you like that! My sister usually gives my mom joke-filled cards, while I always give her sentimental ones. It says more about me and my sis than it does about mom!

    Doris,
    Please keep us posted.

    Nicole,
This spring has been TERRIBLE for allergies in OH. Hope your region is doing better.
