At first the mystery of it all was fun to speculate about, but this past season has really been interesting to watch the side-flashes and see the different sides to everyone.

I too hope the good and evil ambiguity includes Jacob & Smokey.

Revealing my other obsession, in Harry Potter, one of my favorite lines is (paraphrased) not everyone is divided into Death Eaters and Good Guys.Karen H.http://carefreecreations.haman.us/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4432615092204334311.post-58021981382745876552010-05-06T16:42:23.140-04:002010-05-06T16:42:23.140-04:00Just Beautiful Susan - your comments about being q...Just Beautiful Susan - your comments about being quick to judge people is something that resonates with me when I catch the show too.Mimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17862379409531861861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4432615092204334311.post-83016695531943413262010-05-06T12:24:47.222-04:002010-05-06T12:24:47.222-04:00Susan, you have spectacularly articulated my feeli...Susan, you have spectacularly articulated my feelings about this show....I would never have been able to put them into words! Your thoughtful and spot-...WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW

Your thoughtful and spot-on analysis left me in tears. I have never been as emotionally invested in a television show or its characters before. The rich character development and how each brings something a little different to the story is what drew me in from the beginning and has kept me watching EVERY SINGLE episode. I AM a geek and DVR each episode. I watch them more than once. I watch the entire previous season again before a new season begins so the exasperatingly satisfying stories are fresh in my mind when the new season finally begins. (Ahem, confession here ... I do own seasons 1-3 on DVD.)

I know these characters, sometimes so well that I know what they'll say before they say it. When Frank saw the water coming into the sub, I said, "Aw, hell." Then, he said it. But, each continues to surprise me by their words or actions, too.

Tuesday's episode was brutal, but the deaths were satisfying in their own ways. Sayid dies a hero and proves that he is a good man. Sun and Jin's love is so strong that Jin won't leave her. The remaining castaways mourn their passing. We feel their sorrow and cry with them.

We want answers. We feel that we're owed answers for our loyalty to the show. Some questions will remain after the finale. In the end, we will be satisfied, yet wanting more.

But, I will tell you one thing I know for certain: If Sawyer or Hurley dies, I will NOT be happy. NOT HAPPY.Franciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15548903306772165074noreply@blogger.com
